Temples of Goa

One of the famous temples in this part of the world is the temple of Shanta Durga. This is located on the foothill of Kavelam village. The construction of this temple started in the year 1713 AD. The deity is also known as Santeri. There is reference of this deity in the Puranas. Other famous temple of Goa is Mangeshi temple.
