Mumbai, also called Bombay in the earlier times, is the capital of Maharashtra. It is also the financial capital of India and is in fact the foundational financial hub of the nation from where the great capitalists like Tata, Birla and Ambani started their operations. Mumbai is the richest city of India with maximum billionaires and millionaires. Second on the list is Delhi.

Gateway of India
Gateway of India is a majestic monument and was constructed to mark the first entry of King George V on the land of India. It is a basalt structure and a hot attraction of tourists who visit Mumbai. From here, you can also see the sculptures of famous people like Swami Vivekananda and Chattarpati Shivagi. Above all, the mesmerizing glimpse of famous Taj Hotel of Tata Group is something too special.

Chhatrapati Shivagi terminus
This railway station built by the British is truly the pride of Mumbai and was formerly called as Victoria Terminus. The heritage building of this railway station is in the list of UNESCO world heritage sites. Nightlife near CST is worth enjoying.

This is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is well known in the city. People come to this temple for fulfillment of wishes.

Nightlife in Mumbai is something splendid because of the street food as well as five star hotels of the city. One of the most famous is the Taj Mahal hotel which is located near the gateway of India. This hotel was constructed by the Tata group patriarch. Enjoying the glimpse of the Arabian Sea from the Gateway of India is a splendid experience during night. It is from here you can go to the famous Elephanta caves by hiring a boat. Boat will drop you near the cave. Marine drive, also called Nariman point, is a world renowned commercial center.
